All the industries/ units must fulfil the requirement of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986, the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.

  • To obtain the Consent to Establish/ Operate or Authorisation, following steps to be followed:

  1. Collection of Application Form from the office of Andaman & Nicobar Pollution Control Committee (ANPCC), Department of Science & Technology, Dollygunj, Port Blair-744103, South Andaman, A&N Islands or from website dstpcc.andaman.gov.in
  2. Submission of application form along with all the documents as per the checklist.
  3. The consent to Establish/ Operate or Authorisation will be processed and issued within a period of 90days from the date of receipt of duly filled complete application in all respect along with necessary documents (as per checklist).

  • Details of Sewage/Effluent Treatment Plant to be installed, including design, blue print and treatment process & Water balance chart (process consumption, domestic usage, gardening usage, any others, specify), if any
  • Details of Public Liability Insurance/Policies for the workers handling any hazardous substances (means manufacture, processing, treatment, package, storage, transportation, collection), if applicable
  • Emission (from stack/chimney of incinerator/ DG-Set / any Process) analysis report of from any NABL/ MoEF Accredited laboratory
  • Effluents or Waste Water analysis report from any NABL/ MoEF Accredited laboratory
  • Any other Statutory clearances/ licenses
  • At present ANPCC do not charge any Consent/ Authorization fee.

    The consent to Establish/ Operate or Authorisation will be processed and issued within a period of 90 Days from the date of receipt of duly filled complete application in all respect along with necessary documents (as per checklist).

    • For commercial purpose, the Land should be converted into Commercial and for Industrial purpose the Land should be converted into Industrial
    • CRZ-Clearance/ Environmental Clearance/ NOC from Forest Department or from Competent Authority showing the distance of the building/unit from High Tide Level (HTL), as the case may be must be obtained.
    • For leased/rented/ other, unit must have the document of Rent /Lease agreement along with Land conversion certificate, for units located at industrial estates, copy of Land Allotment Order must be obtained.
    • Unit must be registered with District Industries Centre (DIC)/ others.
    • Permission from Competent Authority must be obtained in case of Ground water withdrawal.
    • "Air Pollution Control Devises" to be installed in stack and other process equipment /machinery, if applicable.
    • Details of Protection measures like a fire extinguisher for the unit & protection gear like helmets/gloves/mask /etc. for workers to be provided
    • Make Policy for workers under the Public Liability Insurance Act, 1991 for the workers handling any Hazardous/ Chemical substances listed in the Rule, if applicable.
    • Any other Statutory clearances/ licenses must be obtained.
