The office of the Indian Law Reporter was inaugurated by the Hon’ble the Then Lieutenant Governor Shri Ishwari Prasad Gupta in presence of the Hon’ble Mr. Justice Satyabrata Sinha, the then Acting Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court to publish the journal on 28th May, 1999. Necessary notification was issued by the Assistant Secretary (Law) under the order of the Lieutenant Governor, A & N Islands, which contain the rules namely “Andaman and Nicobar, Indian Law Reports (A & N Series), Rules, 1999”. The office of the Indian Law Reports (A & N Series) is being governed by the Council of Law Reporting.
