PMB established a network of 12 Port Control Towers in A & N Islands with modern Radio Communication system for handling ship traffic operations in the island groups and provides communication coverage to the vessels plying between mainland and Inter Islands. The Port Control Towers through their Ship position information system closely monitors the position of Indian ship and International ship at sea.

1. Port communication Center (Situated at Atlanta Point Port Blair) – Communication equipments available – HERT, AIS, VHF, FAX, RADAR (this station provides communication coverage to the vessels plying in Andaman Sea, Bay of Bengal and inter islands Ports and keeping 24hrs watch of HFRT freq 8294Khz from 0700 hrs to 1900 hrs and 6224 Khz from 1900 hrs to 0700 hrs and broadcast the weather bulletin twice a day at (0930 hrs and 1600 hrs) on HFRT freq 8294 Khz. 3. Port Control Tower Diglipur situated at North Andaman (Working hrs 0500 to 2100 hrs) – communication equipments available HFRT freq 8294Khz from 0700 hrs to 1900 hrs and 6224 Khz from 1900 to 2100 hrs, VHF Ch – 16, Ch – 12, Ch – 10. This station engage in communication with the vessels entering/leaving port., inter island ports and vessel at sea.

Port Control Tower Mayabunder situated at North & Middle Andaman (Working hrs 0500 to 2100 hrs) – communication equipments available HFRT freq 8294 Khz from 0700 hrs to 1900 hrs and 6224 Khz from 1900 to 2100 hrs, VHF Ch – 16, Ch – 12, Ch – 10. This station engage in communication with the vessels entering/leaving port, inter island ports and vessel at sea.

Port Control Tower Rangat situated at Middle Andaman (working hrs 0500 to 2100 hrs) – communication equipment available HFRT  freq 8294 Khz from 0700 hrs to 1900 hrs and 6224 Khz from 1900 to 2100 hrs, VHF Ch – 16, Ch – 12, Ch – 10.
